Is a standing desk better for arthritis?

Sit-stand desks (adjustable height) are much better than pure standing or pure sitting for anyone with arthritis. Prolonged sitting stiffens joints; prolonged standing loads knees and hips. The evidence is that alternating every 30-60 minutes reduces back and joint pain more than either extreme. Add a good chair, foot rest, and a monitor at eye level.
