Do I qualify for a Blue Badge with arthritis?

A Blue Badge is a UK-wide scheme giving parking concessions to people with severe mobility problems, including those with arthritis that significantly affects walking. You automatically qualify if you get the higher-rate mobility component of PIP or DLA; otherwise you can apply on 'discretionary' grounds by describing how far and comfortably you can walk. Local council disability parking bays and hospital blue-zone bays are separate schemes.
